diaper care

Washing Instructions:
You can wash both the covers, cloth diapers and wipes together with the following instructions. For babies not yet eating solids all diapers can go directly into the wash. Once babies have solid poop, the poop needs to be dumped in the toilet prior to putting the diaper in the wash. You do not need to rinse or soak diapers.

Detergent: Use the same detergent that you would use to wash your baby clothes. We like 7th Generation Free and Clear or Charlie's Soap (use recommended amount on label).

Top Loader Machine:
Pre-wash: Use 1/2 cap of detergent in the pre wash cycle
Main Wash: Select Hot Water, Heavy, Extra Rinse: Use the recommended amount of detergent for heavy load.

Use 1/2 cup vinegar in the rinse cycle if diapers have odor.

HE Machine:
Set cycle to Pre-wash, Hot water, Heavy, Extra Rinse. (Add a large wet towel to trick the washer into using the appropriate amount of water). Add 1/4 cap in pre-wash. Add recommended amount of detergent for HE heavy load.

Use 1/2 cup vinegar in the rinse cycle if diapers have odor.

*For hard water, a water softener is needed.

Drying Instructions:
Dry: Medium heat. Add wool dryer balls to shorten the drying time.

Specific Item Care:

Diaper Covers, Pocket and All in One Diapers: Do not put in Extra Hot or Sanitize cycle wash cycle. Do not use bleach. Dry on Low or Medium heat or hang dry.

Prefold Diapers, Wipes, Doublers: Okay to use a small amount of bleach. Okay to put on Extra Hot or Sanitize cycle. Okay to dry on High heat.
