biochar collaboratorscalling roasters, woodworkers, and moreDiaper Stork is working hard to keep diapers out of landfills. Thanks to an Industrial Symbiosis grant from the Department of Commerce's Climate Commitment Act, we're testing a process called pyrolysis that turns plant-based diapers into a nutrient-rich material called biochar, a valuable byproduct for carbon sequestration and soil enrichment. This work has led to recognition from the NextCycle Washington Accelerator program, who awarded Diaper Stork with "Best Innovation Pitch". To further our efforts, we're seeking additional partners in the Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia areas, who have byproducts (chaff, sawdust, etc.) that we can pick up and use as co-feed stock. Please contact us if you have such material and would like to join the eco-conscious companies below who support our mission.
